I did not get that, i just enabled internet hotspot and boom, it worked. But when i go to the bluetooth under settings there is just the spinning waiting wheel like it's trying to come on whereas the wifi is grayed out and the switch does nothing. Bmw either never does that integration testing, or they do and decide not to make any corrections.
The wireless apple carplay uses both a bluetooth and wifi connection to support the data stream.
